There is significant damage to Chapel Hill Road in this spot, most likely a result of construction vehicles working on nearby sites. The broken pavement is serious enough so that people will swerve to avoid it. If a driver does not swerve, it could potentially cause vehicle damage.

Good afternoon Sarah.
Thank you for your alert regarding the need for repair to the road damage on Chapel Hill Road at Henrico Lane.
Please be advised that Chapel Hill Road is a state-owned road. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is solely responsible for its repair and maintenance. Although our Town of Morrisville Public Works Streets Division is aware of the poor road conditions on state roads running through Morrisville, unfortunately our Morrisville Street Division has neither the budget capability nor the directive to do the extensive and permanent repairs needed to maintain state roads.
If you would like to comment directly to the NCDOT regarding state road maintenance concerns, please access their reporting form at this link:
https://apps.dot.state.nc.us/ContactUS/PostComment.aspx?Unit=Division_5
Additionally, attached you will find the number to NCDOT's Customer Service Line where they may be of further assistance to you:
877-DOT-4You (877-368-4968).
If in the future, you need to contact our Public Works Division regarding repair issues on roads maintained by the Town of Morrisville, please utilize the "Report a Concern" option on the Home Page of our Town website at www.townofmorrisville.org.
Thank you for your alert.
We sincerely hope that the information supplied herein will be of assistance to you.
